Emily P. Kahn is a senior associate at Walsh & Amicucci LLP, handling a broad range of matters, including Estate and Tax Planning, Estate and Trust Administration, Special Needs and Elder Law Planning and Guardianship Proceedings. She frequently advises injured and disabled claimants and their families receiving benefits though Workers’ Compensation, Social Security, NYS Retirement Systems and the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund.
Ms. Kahn serves on the Trusts & Estates Section Executive Committee of the Westchester County Bar Association and volunteers for Legal Services of the Hudson Valley, advising staff attorneys on a variety of trusts and estates matters. She often lectures for wealth management firms, bar associations and other professional groups, as well as police, corrections, fire and other municipal associations. Ms. Kahn is the Vice Chair of the New Lawyers Section of the Westchester County Bar Association, working closely with the Board of Directors, Section Officers and State and County Judges to organize continuing legal education courses, pro bono opportunities and social events. She works closely with young professionals in a variety of industries in Westchester County and New York City.
Prior to completing law school and beginning her tenure as an associate, Ms. Kahn worked as a law clerk at Walsh & Amicucci LLP for two years. She also served as an extern to both the Deputy General Counsel and the Director of Taxation at Nestlé Waters North America. She was a proud founding member and Editor of the Pace Intellectual Property, Sports & Entertainment Law Forum.
Ms. Kahn is a recipient of the 2018 Legal Services of the Hudson Valley Pro Bono Award for her mentorship in the area of Trusts & Estates and the 2016 Westchester County Bar Association New Lawyers Leadership Award for leadership and service in the community.
