Katherine (Kathy) Sohr Jedlicka, Esq. is an attorney at Walsh & Amicucci LLP in White Plains, New York who concentrates in Trusts and Estates. Kathy’s broad range of experience in the field allows her to help clients plan estate and guardianship matters prior to death and to assist families with estate administration during the difficult time after the loss of a loved one. Kathy enjoys lending her expertise to assist families with compassion and proficiency for all estate matters.

Kathy and the firm handle a broad range of matters, including representing individuals and families in the following areas: estate planning, including drafting wills, trusts (both revocable and irrevocable), and ancillary estate planning forms (powers of attorney, living wills, health care proxies); probate and administration proceedings; ancillary probate proceedings; trust and estate administration; SCPA 17-A guardianships; Surrogate’s Court practice, including SCPA miscellaneous proceedings; estate and trust accountings; post-mortem tax planning ; and charitable giving.

Prior to joining Walsh & Amicucci LLP, Kathy gained extensive experience in estate administration, estate litigation, and general litigation as a Westchester attorney. Her involvement in estate matters through legal research, depositions, court conferences, and settlement negotiations provides her with a unique view of dealing with the challenges of estate administration.

Kathy is admitted to practice in New York and Connecticut. Kathy has been recognized as one of Super Lawyers New York Metro Rising Stars (2013) and Super Lawyers Top Women Attorneys in New York State (2014). She has spoken before the New York State Bar Association about probate proceedings (December 2011).

Kathy is a proud graduate of Pace Law School (2007), the College of the Holy Cross (2001), and the Ursuline School (1997). During law school, Kathy interned for the Honorable Anthony Scarpino, Jr., Westchester County Surrogate’s Court, and was the Managing Editor of the Pace International Law Review (2006-07). Prior to law school, Kathy worked for several years in the field of international adoption in New York City.

Kathy lives with her husband and three children in Crestwood, New York. She is an active member of the Annunciation-Our Lady of Fatima School and Parish community, a volunteer for the Hillcrest Lakers youth sports league in Yonkers, and a breast cancer survivor.
